WSOP: Katie Koop wins the No 1 Event at WSOP
The World Series of Poker 2022 has started, and it kicked off with its traditional casino employee event which happens each year and making it even more interesting is seeing which employee takes home the gold.
The first event was a Casino Employee Tournament. The tournament has a No-Limit Hold’em format with 832 participants at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas. Katie Koop a dealer and poker player from Cleveland Ohio,
a us online casino, was the employee that took first place in this Hold’em tournament and received a 5-figure payday of $65,168.
Going For the Win
When the event's final table began Koop found herself short stacked but eventually turned things around and eliminated three other players before taking the win. She landed in the heads up round with
Wyatt Frost and when that began, she had a five to one chip lead, Frost managed to double up during the game however it was not sufficient to take the lead.
This win saw Kattie Koop win her first WSOP Gold bracelet. She said that dealing and playing gave her a great appreciation for poker and the more a player pays attention at online pokies for australians, the more they learn.
This philosophy certainly stood her in good stead.
WSOP
The 2022 WSOP kicked off in May and will continue through to 20 July. This year’s schedule includes 88 bracelet events and players get to compete in the housewarming NHL with a cash prize of $5 million up for grabs.
There is also the GGPoker flip and Go ($1000) and the Lucky 7’s event with a cash prize of $777,777.
Last year the 2021 WSOP winner Koray Aldemir walked away $ 8 million dollars richer after beating George Holmes in a tough heads up and if that’s anything to go one then there’s an interesting and nail-biting road ahead.
